Tiffany Renee Darwish was born in Norwalk, California, on October 2, 1971. Tiffany, the daughter of a pilot, released her debut pop record at the age of fifteen in 1987.
The self-titled album included her smash tune “I Think We’re Alone Now,” which rose to prominence thanks in part to her promotional tour of America’s malls.
Tiffany made a quiet comeback in 2000 by launching Color of Silence. She was naked in Playboy magazine in April 2002. Dust Off And Dance was published independently in 2005, and a tour followed it in 2006.
She has recently appeared in ads, made cameo appearances on television, and performed at LGBT rights events.

Early life
Tiffany Renee Darwish was born in the Los Angeles suburb of Norwalk, California, on October 2, 1971, to Janie Wilson and James Robert Darwish, who divorced when she was 14 months old.
Tiffany’s father is Lebanese, and her mother is Irish with Native American ancestors.
Tiffany began singing at the age of four when she learnt the lyrics to Tanya Tucker’s “Delta Dawn.”
She lived with her father after her parent’s divorce and attended Norwalk High School for her freshman and sophomore years before transferring to Norwalk’s Leffingwell Christian High School.
Personal life
In 1992, Tiffany married makeup artist Bulmaro Garcia. Elijah, their only child, was born in September 1992. In 2003, they divorced.
In 2004, she married British businessman Ben George. The pair opted to separate during the writing process of 2018’s Pieces of Me and have subsequently divorced.
Career
Tiffany debuted with country music performer Jack Reeves in 1981 at Narods, a country and western venue in Chino, California.
She then passed a hat among the audience and received $235 in her first career earnings.
Tiffany was found singing at the Palomino Club by Hoyt Axton and his mother Mae Axton. Mae drove her to Nashville, Tennessee, where she sang Juice Newton’s “Queen of Hearts” and Tammy Wynette’s “Your Good Girl’s Gonna Go Bad” on WSMV’s The Ralph Emery Show.
After hearing her sing on a demo tape, Tiffany obtained a recording contract with George Tobin in 1984.
She competed on Star Search with Ed McMahon in 1985, finishing second overall. She signed a deal giving Tobin complete control over her career in 1986, made her debut studio album, and signed an MCA contract.
Tiffany was released in 1987; however, the first single from the album, “Danny,” failed to chart. Following the failure of “Danny,” Tobin dispatched Tiffany on The Beautiful You: Celebrating the Good Life Shopping Mall Tour ’87, a statewide tour of shopping malls. The trip began in Paramus, New Jersey, at the Bergen Mall.
Her second single, “I Think We’re Alone Now,” a rendition of Tommy James and the Shondells’ smash, reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. It is still her biggest hit.
Tiffany’s ballad “Could’ve Been” reached number one on the Billboard charts in February 1988. Tiffany’s retitled “I Saw Him Standing There” version of the Beatles’ “I Saw Her Standing There” reached No. 7 on the Hot 100. “Feelings of Forever” was also a hit on the charts.
Tiffany broke the record for the youngest female artist to debut at the top of the Billboard charts with her debut album. Later that year, she went on tour with New Kids on the Block as her opening act.
Tiffany was entangled in a controversy in 1988, at the height of her stardom, in which Tobin fought her mother and stepfather for control of her career and earnings. Tiffany then attempted to have herself proclaimed an emancipated juvenile in court.
The court rejected this, but the judge did allow her to leave her mother’s house, and her grandmother (who supported Tiffany during the trial) became her temporary guardian. Tiffany released her second studio album, Hold an Old Friend’s Hand, in late 1988, which was less popular than her debut.
Although there were no number-one hits, the song “All This Time” cracked the top ten. The album garnered great reviews from critics and went platinum almost instantly.
Tiffany quit Tobin’s management shortly after turning eighteen and signed with Dick Scott and Kim Glover, who managed New Kids on the Block, a successful boy band at the time.
Tiffany singing in 1993 at the Las Vegas Hilton
Tiffany’s career faltered as musical tastes shifted away from dance-pop and toward harder-edged rock and rap in the early 1990s.
Some of her admirers disliked the more soulful, sultrier Tiffany on her third studio album, the urban-influenced Inside (1990).
Despite multiple TV appearances to promote it, notably on the fantasy sitcom Out of This World, New Inside garnered mixed reviews from music reviewers and failed to chart.
Tiffany took part in the recording of the song “Voices That Care” in 1991, which reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Tiffany reconnected with Tobin on the album Dreams Never Die (1993), which generated the songs “If Love Is Blind” and “Can’t You See” during a brief early 1990s comeback attempt.
In the summer of 1993, she headlined her show at the Las Vegas Hilton before splitting up with Tobin again.
Tiffany relocated to Nashville in 1995 to further her career as a composer and to make a comeback as a country music musician.
Tiffany’s sixth album, Dust Off and Dance was released on CD Baby in May 2005, followed by a digital release on iTunes.
It was dedicated to her new spouse, but it was recorded as a thank you to her fans (especially her homosexual and European followers) for reminding her of how much fun she could have with her work.
