Carlos Santana Debuts Shoe Line

Guitarist and Rock 'n Roll Hall of Famer Carlos Santana has stepped into the retail business of women's shoes this week. His "Carlos" collection of women's shoes features 13 styles ranging from dressy to casual, and is priced at $59 to $70.

The line is available at 17 Macy's West stores including stores in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, San Jose, Salinas, Fresno and Modesto, Las Vegas, San Antonio, Tucson and Mesa, Ariz. and four Burdines department stores in the Miami area.

A portion of the proceeds from each sale will go to the Milagro Foundation started in 1998 by Carlos and Deborah Santana. The foundation supports educational efforts to help children throughout the world live healthy,literate and culturally enriched lives.

"The people at Brown Shoe Company connected with my vision," Santana said. "This shoe line will help thousands of children through our Milagro Foundation. The Brown Shoe Company in St. Louis, known for its Naturalizer and Buster Brown brands, designed and manufactured the Carlos line.
